"If I was asked for a recommendation of my top 5 songwriters in Nashville then Darbi Shaun would be in that list for sure."

There are some voices that just cause people to stop and take notice. Darbi Shaun’s unique tone and emotion does just that. Matt Davis, the GM of Main Street Crossing, said, "Darbi is a wonderful talent. If you have the chance to hear her in song, it will be an experience for your ears that you will not soon forget. Polished beyond her years, this young performer has a bright future ahead."
The red dirt music of Texas, the heart in rock and classic country, and the honest lyrics of the singer-songwriter genre all come together with a modern country twist to influence Shaun’s sound.
Growing up in Houston, TX, music is all Darbi has ever wanted to do. She picked up a guitar at age 13 and started writing her own music that same year. Her very first performance of an original song was at the iconic Blue Bird Cafe in Nashville, TN just after turning 14. At 17, she was recognized as the youngest Top 15 semi-finalist in the National Songwriter Serenade Contest.
She has played shows on stages across the country and has had the honor of opening for Mike Eli of the Eli Young Band, Roger Creager, Walt Wilkins, Aaron Watson, Adam Hood, Corey Morrow, Justin Van Sant, Jason Cassidy, Dale Watson, Doug Stone and even Tracy Lawrence.
She is a class of 2017 graduate of Texas A&M University. Those transformative years were written down and put into the lyrics of her album, 4AM, available on iTunes and Spotify now. 2017 also brought her very first emotion-filled music video for Stars, a song off of the 4AM record.
She now lives in Nashville, TN continuing her work as a songwriter and artist. Her newest single, Midnight and You debuts August 27, 2021.
